Term 2 Goals:
Increase my knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease.
Increase my knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease.
- My mentor has already referred me to some great websites that have a lot of interesting information on Alzheimer’s, which I will explore further.
- I will continue meeting with my mentor biweekly, if not more, and he will continue to share his knowledge of Alzheimer’s with me.
- My mentor is trying to connect me with some other people who have different experiences with Alzheimer’s Disease. He suggested that I interview them about their respective experiences with the neurological disorder and post a clip of our interactions on my website, which I think is a great idea. I am hoping to gain some different perspectives about Alzheimer’s Disease.
- I am going to talk with my mentor soon about my fundraiser to see what he thinks because he told me that he knows some people that have done fundraisers for Alzheimer’s Disease research in the past. I am hoping to bounce some ideas off of him and get some suggestions.
- By the end of term 2, I want to decide for sure what I will be doing for my fundraiser and begin planning it.
Term 3 Goals:
Continue to learn about Alzheimer’s disease and spread awareness for it to whoever I can reach.
Continue to learn about Alzheimer’s disease and spread awareness for it to whoever I can reach.
- Continue to use my Instagram to share information and facts about Alzheimer’s to others and use it as a means of advertisement for my fundraiser.
- I am going to add a page to my website that is going to have a list of sources, including books and websites, for kids and adults, where they can go to learn more about Alzheimer’s.
- I am going to hang flyers around the school after February break, when my fundraiser is up and running.
- In each order I receive, I am going to include a pamphlet with information about Alzheimer’s disease and Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, encouraging people to learn more.
- My online store, which will sell blankets and t-shirts, should be up and running within the next few days, and it will be open until March 13th.
- I created a GoFundMe charity page that is already linked to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, and I will also encourage people to visit it and consider making a donation. I am going to start advertising for both my GoFundMe for direct donations and the online store when it is all set up.
- Hopefully, my fundraiser goes well and I am able to make a sizable donation to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. I plan to leave my GoFundMe Charity page up and running for the duration of my project, which will be until mid-end April, even after the online store has closed.
- Once the online store closes, I will send the money that I made from it to my GoFundMe Charity page, so it is all in one place and goes straight to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund right away.
